I think the fact it is only available through DH.com means Darren is distributing it not his label hence the limited availability.
Given the latest sales, I suspect they may not be missing a lot of sales. He has to become more popular I think to make a release of it worthwhile to the label.
Q: So do you actually have to sign up to DH.com then to be able to buy it or can anyone just walk in off the streeet, so to speak?

LOL I thought I'd already answered this question. No, you don't have to be a member to buy the DVD. Anyone who goes to DH.com can buy the DVD as and when copies become available. It's no different to going to somewhere like Amazon or Play, just that it's Darren's site you are buying from. You don't have to sign up for anything. There's no reason why Michelle or anybody else can't buy it from there.
